What is the raw material for candle making?

What is the raw material for candle making?

For better scented candle, the suggestion is soy wax, coconut wax, and gel wax.

How to make candle?

Pick a wax. Many waxes can be used as raw materials, such as paraffin wax and beeswax. Of course, there are also some scented waxes. Pick what you need.
Heat the wax. We opted for beeswax and heated it in a bain-marie until pourable. The temperature needs to reach 82-88°C, which can be measured with a thermometer. You can also add a few drops of essential oil if you like.
Cut the wick. Use a length of already labeled candle wick (with a metal base) and glue it to the bottom of the jar. The wick needs to be long enough so that the head of the candle is exposed. Wrap a pen or pencil around the top of the wick, and place the pen horizontally over the jar, making sure the wick is perpendicular to the bottom of the jar.
Heat the jar. To prevent bubbling when the wax is poured, the jar needs to be preheated. You can place the jar in the microwave at 65.5°C for a few minutes to preheat.
Pour the wax. Keeping the top wick still, slowly pour the melted wax into it. Avoid splashing over the sides or pouring too quickly so there are no air bubbles. A 3/4 pour is fine with this pouring method.
Wait, keep pouring. Wait a few hours until the wax that has been poured in has set. At this point, there may be a groove in the upper part of the wax, continue to pour the remaining 1/4 into it.
End. When the wax has set, you can remove the pencil and trim the wick to the proper height. It’s time to light candles.
