Paraffin wax is a kind of petroleum processing product, a kind of mineral wax, and a kind of petroleum wax. It is a flaky or needle-like crystal obtained by solvent refining, solvent dewaxing, or freezing crystallization of wax, and pressing and dewaxing of lubricating oil fraction obtained from crude oil distillation, and then solvent deoiling and refining.
Paraffin wax is a hydrocarbon mixture extracted from certain distillates of petroleum, shale oil or other bituminous mineral oils. The main component is solid alkanes, which is odorless and tasteless, and is a white or light yellow translucent solid. Paraffin wax is non-crystalline, but has a clear crystal structure.
Because of its high oil content, crude paraffin is mainly used in the manufacture of matches, fiberboards, tarpaulins, etc. After adding polyolefin additives to paraffin wax, its melting point increases, adhesion and flexibility increase, and it is widely used in moisture-proof and waterproof packaging paper, cardboard, surface coating of certain textiles and candle production.
According the wax oil content,paraffin wax can divide into fully refined paraffin wax,semi refined paraffin wax and crude paraffin wax;fully refined paraffin wax oil content is less then 0.8%,semi refined paraffin wax oil content is less than 1.5% and crude paraffin wax oil content above 1.5%.

this type of wax melts at a temperature of 127 degrees Fahrenheit or 53 degrees Celsius. Soft wax is an ideal material for making container candles and has the characteristics of long-lasting fragrance. It has strong flexibility until the candle burns out. , No additives are required. Softer paraffin wax has many advantages. However, its processing is more difficult and it releases more smoke and dust than other waxes.
